Our collaborative approach aims to add visual, environmental and social values to projects of all scales.

Dark Source is founded by the award-winning lighting designer & graphic artist Kerem Asfuroglu.
Following his graduation from Wismar University – Architectural Lighting Design MA in 2010, Asfuroglu has worked at
Speirs + Major as a senior member of the creative team for 8 years. He worked on a diverse range of projects which include Battersea Power Station Redevelopment, Covent Garden Site-wide Lighting Improvement, Marble Arch Place Development, Shakespeare's New Place Visitor Experience, Medius House Commercial Interiors and City Point Public Realm.
Throughout his career, Kerem has won several design awards including Red Dot, Vox Juventa, PLDC, LAMP and The Future of Urban Lighting. He was awarded with the title of Dark Sky Defender by IDA in 2017 for his works advocating the importance of darkness.
Kerem's graphic art has been commissioned by Penguin Random House, British Astronomical Association
and published in Arc Magazine since 2013.
